Medical disclaimer

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Rogue Receptor is an educational and informational tool. It is not a medical device, not a pharmacy, and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information provided by Rogue Receptor should never be used as the sole basis for making decisions about your health.

What Rogue Receptor is

Rogue Receptor is a consumer health information platform that helps you understand potential interactions between medications and supplements, identify nutrients that may be depleted by certain prescriptions, and organize your daily supplement and medication schedule. Our goal is to help you have more informed, productive conversations with your healthcare providers.

What Rogue Receptor is not

  • Rogue Receptor is not a medical device and has not been evaluated or approved by the FDA, EMA, or any other regulatory body.
  • Rogue Receptor is not a pharmacy and does not dispense, prescribe, or recommend specific medications.
  • Rogue Receptor is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment plans, or clinical advice.
  • Rogue Receptor does not replace your doctor, pharmacist, or any other qualified healthcare professional.

Limitations of our information

While we strive for accuracy, our information has inherent limitations:

  • Incomplete data: No database covers every possible drug-supplement interaction. New interactions are discovered regularly. The absence of an interaction alert does not guarantee safety.
  • Individual variation: Interactions and side effects can vary significantly based on your age, weight, genetics, kidney and liver function, other health conditions, and the specific doses you take. Our general information cannot account for your individual physiology.
  • Not real-time medical data: Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the very latest medical research or FDA announcements.
  • AI limitations: Some of our analysis is powered by artificial intelligence, which can occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete results. AI-generated content is cross-referenced with established medical databases but should always be verified with a healthcare professional.

Critical safety information

  • Never stop or change a prescribed medication based solely on information from Rogue Receptor. Abruptly stopping certain medications can be dangerous or life-threatening.
  • Never start a new supplement based solely on a depletion alert from Rogue Receptor without first consulting your doctor. Some supplements can interfere with medications or health conditions.
  • In case of emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US) or contact your nearest emergency room immediately. Rogue Receptor cannot provide emergency medical assistance.
  • If you suspect a serious drug interaction, contact your doctor, pharmacist, or call Poison Control (1-800-222-1222 in the US) immediately.
  • Allergic reactions to medications or supplements require immediate medical attention. Rogue Receptor does not track or predict allergic responses.

Our interaction severity levels

Rogue Receptor uses three levels to categorize interactions:

  • All clear (green): No known significant interaction between these items based on available data. This does not guarantee the absence of any interaction.
  • Worth knowing (amber): A potential interaction exists that is generally manageable. This might include suboptimal timing, reduced absorption, or mild effects. Typically addressable by adjusting timing or doses, but worth discussing with your healthcare provider.
  • Talk to your doctor (red): A potentially significant interaction exists that warrants a conversation with your healthcare provider before continuing both items together. This does not necessarily mean the combination is dangerous for you — your doctor may have already considered this interaction and determined the benefits outweigh the risks.

These severity levels are based on general medical literature and databases. Your individual risk may be higher or lower depending on your specific health circumstances.

Supplement and product recommendations

When Rogue Receptor identifies a nutrient depletion and suggests a supplement, this is educational information, not a prescription. Some of our pages may contain links to products on third-party retailers (such as Amazon). These are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase. Affiliate relationships never influence our interaction analysis or severity ratings. Our analysis engine operates independently of any commercial partnerships.

Dosage calculator disclaimer

Our dosage calculator provides general conversion and calculation tools (such as mL to teaspoons, weight-based pediatric dosing). These calculations are mathematical in nature and do not account for your specific medical situation, the specific formulation of your medication, or any conditions that may require dose adjustment. Always follow the dosing instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist. When in doubt, ask your pharmacist to verify any dosage calculation.

Photo recognition disclaimer

Our medicine cabinet photo scan feature uses artificial intelligence to identify medications and supplements from images. This technology is not 100% accurate. Always verify that the AI has correctly identified your products before relying on any interaction analysis. Misidentification could lead to inaccurate results. We recommend checking each identified item against the actual product label.

Professional endorsement

Unless explicitly stated, Rogue Receptor is not endorsed by any medical institution, hospital system, pharmaceutical company, or professional medical organization. Our platform is independently developed and operated.

Regulatory status by country

Rogue Receptor is accessible globally but is primarily designed for users in the United States. Drug names, availability, regulatory status, and approved uses may differ in other countries. If you are located outside the US, verify all information with your local healthcare system and regulatory body.

Your responsibility

By using Rogue Receptor, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own health decisions. You agree to use the information provided by our platform as one input among many — alongside your doctor's advice, your pharmacist's guidance, and your own judgment — in making decisions about your health.
